Program Overview
This Discovery Health CME program utilizes a panel of medical experts to review updates on vaccinations for children and adults, including recent changes to the immunization schedules, safety information and ways to increase vaccination rates. Practical tips for physicians are discussed to help their patients stay current with vaccinations.

Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this program, participants should be able to:

  • Discuss the importance of vaccination throughout one's life.
  • Highlight recent changes to the child, adolescent, and adult immunization schedules.
  • Review new safety data regarding vaccines.
  • Profile contraindications to the administration of specific vaccines.
  • List barriers to timely vaccination.
  • Discuss methods for maximizing vaccination coverage and ways to improve patients' and parents' comfort with vaccination.

Target Audience
Family Practice/Primary Care Physicians, Internists, Nurse Practitioners, OB/GYNs and Pediatricians.
