Program Overview
Restless legs syndrome (RLS) is a very common condition in the United States, yet it is persistently under-diagnosed and under-treated. The syndrome is associated with dramatic effects on quality of life due to sleep deficiency. This sleep deficiency results in fatigue, difficulty concentrating, and is associated with depression. Although the pathophysiology of RLS is not completely understood, there are effective therapies available for patients suffering from this syndrome.

Discovery Health has assembled a panel of thought leaders on RLS to discuss the epidemiology, symptoms, diagnostic criteria, pathophysiology, and therapies that have proven successful in its treatment.

Acknowledgement of Commercial Support
This program is funded through an educational grant from Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals, Inc.
