Dr. Andrea Rapkin is a Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. She is also the Director of the UCLA Pelvic Pain Clinic and the PMS and PMDD Research Program. She has published extensively in the areas of premenstrual syndrome, chronic pelvic pain, menopause, women's reproductive health with numerous research articles and contributions to major textbooks in the areas of menstrual cycle-related mood disorders and pelvic pain.
Dr. Rapkin received her B.A from Cornell University, M.D. from the State University of New York in Buffalo, and completed residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the UCLA School of Medicine. Dr. Rapkin is a member of various professional societies and organizations, including the Society for Gynecologic Investigation, American Pain Society, International Association for the Study of Pain, International Society of Psychoneuroendocrinology, International Society for Sexual Medicine, and serves as a reviewer for many medical journals and as OBGYN section editor for the Archives of Women's Mental Health.
