Dr. Diana Dell is an assistant professor in both the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health and the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Duke University Medical Center. She holds certification from both the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
For the past thirty years, Dr. Dell has centered her activities on issues related to quality health care for women. Through her activities as a physician, a nurse and a consumer educator, she has worked publicly and privately on a broad range of issues that are important wellness issues for women. She co-authored The Women's Complete Wellness Book (1998), The PMDD Phenomenon (2002), and Do I Want to be a Mom (2003).
Dr. Dell's academic and research interests are focused on women's health, physician wellness, and psychosomatic medicine. Her clinical practice focuses primarily on women with psychiatric disorders related to reproductive events, life-cycle changes, and chronic pain. She frequently lecturers on a number of women's health and advocacy issues. She works at the local and national levels to improve both clinical care and access to health care for American women. Dr. Dell is the 1994-95 Past-President of the American Medical Women's Association.
