Dr. Miller completed his fellowship in Advanced Pelvic Surgery at the Cleveland Clinic in 1989. Since 1990, hundreds of surgeons have come to observe Dr. Miller perform Urogynecologic surgical procedures. This has included laparoscopic and minimally invasive approaches to incontinence and prolapse. Dr. Miller is a national leader in research on surgical outcomes and has collaborated with European colleagues in multi-center trials. He has patent applications submitted for devices to treat pelvic organ prolapse. A surgical procedure related to one of these devices is being developed by Boston Scientific Corporation and will be released for surgeons throughout the U.S. during 2008.

Actively involved in professional scientific organizations and board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. Miller lectures throughout the world on topics including new advances in pelvic reconstructive surgery, tension-free slings and minimally invasive integrated mesh repairs for prolapse. He has chaired international symposiums on pelvic organ prolapse. He currently serves on the American Urogynecologic Society presidential taskforce on surgical devices and also a similar committee for the International Urogynecologic Association.
