Discovery Channel CME: Individualized Therapy for Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer
Non-small cell lung cancer represents about 85% of primary malignant tumors
in the lung, yet some barriers still exist which may impede diagnosis and
treatment. Discovery Channel CME has assembled a panel of key opinion leaders
to discuss emerging and individualized therapies for patients with non-small
cell lung cancer. The program addresses topics including appropriate first-
line chemotherapeutic regimens, how to manage patients for whom first-line
treatment has failed, as well as the role of biomarkers for the selection of
targeted therapies. Differences in outcomes among minority patients are also
discussed, with an emphasis on strategies to overcome challenges to treatment.
