Benjamin I. Chung, M.D.

Benjamin I. Chung, M.D., is Assistant Professor of Urology at the Stanford University School of Medicine. He received his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He completed his internship and pre-urology general surgery training in the Department of Surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. He completed his residency in the Department of Urology at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington, Massachusetts, and fellowship in minimally invasive urologic surgery and endourology in the Department of Urology at the Cleveland Clinic.

Dr. Chung's research interests include renal cell carcinoma, biomarkers, transitional cell carcinoma, carcinoma of the prostate, bionanotechnology, and surgical simulation. His clinical interests include laparoscopic urologic surgery, robotic urologic surgery, robotic radical prostatectomy, minimally invasive urologic surgery, urologic oncology, and endourology.

Dr. Chung is a recent recipient of the "Who's Who in America" award. He is a member of the American Urological Association, Endourological Society, and Center for Immersive and Simulation-Based Learning at the Stanford University School of Medicine.

Dr. Chung is a reviewer of Campbell's Urology, 8th Edition, Volume 3, and Journal of Urology. He is author or co-author of various peer-reviewed and non-peer-reviewed medical journal articles, book chapters, and abstracts.
