Michael A. Carducci, M.D., is Professor of Oncology and Urology at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland.
He received his medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine and completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. Dr. Carducci also completed his research fellowship and clinical fellowship in medical oncology at The Johns Hopkins Oncology Center. He is board certified in internal medicine and medical oncology.
Dr. Carducci has served as principal or co-investigator on numerous completed and ongoing clinical trials. His research interests include developing and evaluating new therapies for patients with urologic malignancies, including differentiation or anti-progression therapies; new cytotoxic agents; anti-angiogenic agents; inhibitors of growth regulatory pathways; combination therapy strategies incorporating surgery or radiation therapy; and gene therapy. His clinical interests include palliative care and bladder, prostate, renal cell, and urologic cancers. Dr. Carducci lectures frequently and has authored or coauthored of over 175 journal articles, editorials, and book chapters. He is a fellow of the American College of Physicians and a member of several professional societies, including the American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Association for Cancer Research, American Urological Association, and National Kidney Cancer Foundation. Dr. Carducci is also a member of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) Kidney/Testicular Cancers Panel.
