Dr. Barbara Levy received her medical degree from the University of California, San Diego. She completed her internship and residency at Oregon Health and Sciences Center in Portland, OR. She is a fellow in both the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and American College of Surgeons. Dr. Levy is certified through the Accreditation Council for Gynecologic Endoscopy. In 1995, she was the first female president of American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists. Dr. Levy has written over 50 publications in her specialty and in 2003 she was awarded 1ST Prize at the ACOG Film Festival for her video "Vaginal Hysterectomy for a Massively Enlarged Nonprolapsed Uterus".

Dr. Levy has a private gynecologic practice in Federal Way, Washington. She is devoted to holistic, sensitive and respectful treatment of women's special health needs. Preventive health care and wellness are stressed. Dr. Levy's focus is on gynecology, surgery and incontinence. She has particular interest in hormonal problems, uterine fibroids, pelvic pain, pelvic floor disorders and gynecologic tumors. Dr. Levy is also the Medical Director for the Franciscan Health System's Women's Health Center in Federal Way.
