Leonard B. Saltz, M.D., is an Attending Physician at Memorial Hospital for Cancer and Allied Diseases and a Member of Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York, New York. Dr. Saltz is also Professor of Medicine at Weill Medical College of Cornell University.
Dr. Saltz received his medical degree from Yale University School of Medicine. His postgraduate training included a residency at The New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center. He also completed fellowships at The New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center and the Rockefeller University. Dr. Saltz is board certified in internal medicine, medical oncology, and hematology.
Dr. Saltz's clinical and research interests include colorectal cancer, gastrointestinal tumors, neuroendocrine tumors, and new chemotherapies. He is a member of the Cancer and Leukemia Group B and the Radiation Therapy Oncology Group. Dr. Saltz is a member of the NCCN Colon/Rectal/Anal Cancers Panel, Gastrointestinal Malignancies Advisory Board, Neuroendocrine Tumors Panel, and Occult Primary Cancers Panel.
