Paul F. Engstrom, M.D., is Senior Vice President for Extramural Research Programs at Fox Chase Cancer Center and Professor of Medicine at Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He is also chair of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) Colon/Rectal/Anal Cancers Panel.
Dr. Engstrom received his medical degree from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis. His post-graduate training includes an internship, residency, and medical oncology fellowship at the University of Minnesota Hospitals. He is board certified in internal medicine and holds subspecialty certification in medical oncology.
Dr. Engstrom is the past Chairman of the Gastrointestinal Committee of the Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group; Chairman of the Board of Scientific Counselors, Division of Cancer Prevention and Control, for the National Cancer Institute; and Chairman of the Scientific Advisory Board of the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology. He is presently a member of the Prevention Task Force and the Cancer Education Committee of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO). Dr. Engstrom is also a fellow of the American College of Physicians.
