Dr. Philip Wu is a pediatrician with Kaiser Permanente in Portland, Oregon and is the clinical pediatric lead for Kaiser's Care Management Institute Weight Management Initiative. He has helped develop tools to improve the identification and assessment of overweight children and is a strong advocate of healthy eating and physical activity for children and their families. Dr. Wu also believes that health care professionals must be community advocates for improving the "built environment," one of the major barriers to families living healthier lives. Dr. Wu has been in pediatric practice for twenty-eight years.
