Dr. Kimberly A. Skelding is an Interventional Cardiologist at Geisinger Health System in Danville, PA. She earned her Doctorate in Medicine from Northwestern University School of Medicine, Chicago, IL. She later completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Penn State Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, PA. Dr. Skelding was also a Clinical Cardiology Fellow at theWilliam Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak, MI. Her clinical skill set and training include:

  • Percutaneous Coronary Intervention
  • Alcohol Septal Ablation
  • Balloon Valvuloplasty
  • Radial Artery Catheterization and Intervention
  • Left Atrial Appendage Occlusion Device
  • Patent Foramen Ovale Closures
  • Myocardial Biopsy
  • Transeptal catheterization
  • Hemodynamic Evaluation
  • Coronary Artery Fistula Closure

Dr. Skelding's research interests include: Outcomes following Percutaneous Coronary Intervention; Clinical Risk modeling; Genomics of Coronary atherosclerosis, In-Stent restenosis, gender-based outcomes in coronary artery disease; Gene-environment interactions. Her clinical interests include: Interventional cardiology, new device therapies including invasive therapy for atrial fibrillation, valve disease, and hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.
