Aspirin Therapy: Maximizing the Benefits
Aspirin therapy plays a significant role in primary and secondary prevention of myocardial infarction, stroke, and cardiovascular death. Despite national guidelines, aspirin therapy continues to be underused and under prescribed. Determining the correct indications for individual patients is based upon an adequate assessment of a patient's vascular risk as it relates to the benefits and risks of aspirin therapy.
